Theme: Fitness for the Body, Calmness for the
Mind
Day 4 of Health & Hygiene Week at St. Karen’s Primary
School was celebrated by the students of Classes 1 to 5 with the theme “Fitness
for the Body, Calmness for the Mind.”The day began with yoga sessions where
children learned simple asanas and breathing exercises. These not only improved
flexibility and strength but also taught them how yoga helps in calming the
mind, reducing stress and building concentration.
They further enjoyed fun activities like emoji games and a
quick questionnaire to express their feelings. The highlight was the “My
Fitness Superpower Badge” where children proudly displayed healthy habits such
as exercising, eating fruits and sleeping early.
The day ended with a nutritious tiffin of idlis, dhoklas,
dosas, dry fruits and seasonal fruits—truly food for energy and joy. Students
pledged to nurture a healthy body, a peaceful mind and a happy heart.
