Description: Celebrating the Bond of Rakshabandhan with Respect and Compassion. “A Thread of Love, A Promise of Protection”
On 8th August 2025, St. Karen’s Primary School echoed with joy and celebration as students across different classes came together for a special assembly on Rakshabandhan. The event beautifully honoured the sacred bond between brothers and sisters, highlighting values of love, respect, compassion, and gender sensitivity. Through skits, dance, and poems students showcased the emotional essence of sibling relationships. Dressed in traditional attire, the children brought festive cheer to the campus with their lively participation.
A touching highlight of the day was the symbolic Rakhi-tying ceremony where Karenites tied rakhis, symbolizing their prayers and promises of protection and care. Students also enthusiastically took part in classroom activities like handmade rakhi-making and thali decoration, displaying their creativity and devotion. Adding a cultural touch ,a short dramatization of the bond between Lord Krishna and Draupadi beautifully portrayed the festival ‘s origin.
The event concluded on a joyous note, leaving smiles, applause, and meaningful memories. It truly reflected the innocence and unity of our young learners and reminded everyone of the deeper values behind this cherished festival.
